Projects

This project involved the development of a hybrid English learning as a Second Language (ESL) program in collaboration with the City of Refuge, a non-profit organization serving refugee families in Columbia, MO. The project aimed to create tailored learning materials for refugee parents and tutors to improve their English language skills.

The resulting article, "Designing 'school English' hyperdocs for a non-profit refugee organization: Instructional design and material creation as a connection between graduate students and refugee parent and tutor needs," highlights the importance of learner-centered design and community engagement in creating effective instructional materials.
